How to Place Excavation Subspaces and Reinforcement

For placing excavation subspaces, user must go to Construction tab>Excavation>Excavation subspaces and then select the tunnel lining.

Similarly, shotcrete, jet grouting and fiber glass reinforcement can be placed by selecting the corresponding command and then selecting the tunnel lining.

When placing forepoles, the command will ask user to specify the driving angle i.e. longitudinal inclination angle along the tunnel length. When the input is done, the user must select the tunnel lining to confirm.

When placing rock bolts, the command will ask user to specify:
  • Section star offset - the distance from the section start to the centerline of the first row of rock bolts.
  • Section end offset - the distance from the section end to the centerline of the last row of rock bolts.
  • Number of rows.

When the input is done, the user must select the tunnel lining to confirm.

Note: The reinforcement will be placed only for the active tunnel unit. Only conventional tunnel types can have reinforcement attached to them. The reinforcement (except rock bolts) will be created at the start of each tunnel section.
